Meet The Team
John Bowman
Chief Executive Officer
Founder and CEO of Bowman Steel. John Bowman has been in the steel construction industry for over 40 years. Starting out as a welder in the oil fields in 1980 and moved into the steel construction industry in 1983. We have advanced through the years to become a reputable steel erection company licensed and doing business in 15 states across the United States with a work force of +/- 300 at any given time.
Stephen Drager
Chief Operations Officer
Stephen has been in the industry for 40 years working in two countries. Stephen started out surveying and worked his way up to be a Senior Superintendent. Now working for Bowman Steel as a COO. Seeing the growth of this company has been rewarding.
Jon Kalvin
Project Manager
Jonathan started working with Bowman Steel in High School in 2005, coming into work after school and working through vacation breaks. Progressing over the years, he became Bowmans Steels youngest Foreman and recently joined the Project Management team. With almost 17 years in the company he has shown resilience to the complexity of the Steel Industry and continues to further his knowledge in Safety and Steel Erection.
Ryan Coccia
Fleet Operations Manager
Ryan has been working in the construction industry the majority of his life. Ryan started with Bowman Steel as a Crane Operator and eventually worked his way up into Fleet Manager. Having a background in Heavy Equipment, Maintenance, and a Crane Operator has made him a perfect fit.
Melissa Patterson
Chief Finiancial Officer
Melissa Patterson is certified in accounting fundamentals and is responsible for the company’s financial functions in addition to the short and long term business strategies. She has been in the construction industry for 22 years and joined the Bowman Steel team in 2011 starting as an accounting / administrative assistant piloting her way through the departments within the company. With her knowledge, dedication and leadership skills she is an asset to the operation.
Ryan Moore
Senior Project Manager
Ryan Moore, Born September Ninth Nineteen sixty-eight and has worked for BOWMAN STEEL LLC for 12 years and has held several positions throughout the company from Shop Foreman, Safety Representative, Field Superintendent and currently Senior Project Manager. He has been married for Thirty-Three years to his wife Christine Moore they have two children and four grandchildren. Currently living in the state of Florida.
John Hegerty
Vice President of Operations Florida
Skilled steel erection professional offering over 40 years of experience as both a Project Manager and Superintendent. Mr. Hegarty has completed several projects throughout the United States, overseas and in the Caribbean Islands. Experience includes safety, quality control, supervising team members as well as subcontractors; writing project plans, reports, and project documentation; scheduling; reviewing bid proposals and controlling expenses
James Edwards
Senior Superintendent
James Edwards has 23 years of experience in the steel construction industry working on projects throughout the United States as well as in the Caribbean Islands. James worked as an iron worker for several years mastering the trade, his ability to problem solve and implement what he has learned thru out the years has earned him several lead man and foreman positions with several steel construction companies.
George Kiori
Production Manager of Fabrication
George Kouri joined the Bowman team in 2020 as a project estimator for their miscellaneous metals fabrication facility, though it didn’t take him long to demonstrate that his expertise extended far beyond estimating. George cut his teeth in the steel industry as an ornamental fabricator, building ornate gates and railing in the California foothills, later moving on to CNC design and operation, and then detailing and estimating. George now serves as Bowman Steel’s production manager, seeing fabrication projects through from the initial bid to the final punch.
Kyle Batz
Estimating Manager
Kyle Batz is our Estimating Manager at Bowman Steel, LLC. and has been working with us since 2015. Prior to achieving this position, Kyle has navigated through the roles of Welder/Fabricator, Field Assistant, Estimating Coordinator, and Estimator. With doing so, he has obtained a great array of knowledge about the Steel Industry. He is a devoted family man, and in his time off, a sportsman and golfer.

Payroll Clerk
Experienced Administrative Assistant with knowledge of Accounts payable/ Accounting, with a demonstrated history of working in Real Estate, Logistics, and in the Healthcare field.
Brandy Keith
Accounts Recievable
Brandy Keith is the accounts receivable representative with 6 years of experience working alongside the executive team of Bowman Steel, LLC. She specializes in the accounts receivables customer collections process. Brandy uses her positive attitude to work hard and efficiently to build a solid customer relationship. With Brandy’s high-level attention to detail she has become a beneficial resource for the company.
Hunter Street
Purchasing Manager
Hunter has been with Bowman Steel since 2019, he has a background in management and leadership. He handles Purchasing for Bowman Steel and Operations for our Ocala Fabrication shop. Hunters’ ability to communicate helps develop excellent relationships with our vendors and customers. Hunter is an avid outdoorsman and when he is not in the office he can be found in the woods.
Cathy Burgess
Project Managment Accounting
Cathy Burgess is our Project Management Accounting Representative. She has an Associate Degree in Business and Nursing.
Cathy joined the Bowman Team in 2018 as an Estimating Coordinator/Safety Assistant and has advanced to the Accounting Dept.
She works closely with the Project Managers and the Accounting Department. With her understanding and administrative skills, she is a superior addition to our Team.
Jameson Kalvin
QA/QC CWI
Jameson has been with Bowman Steel Since 2004. Jameson started off in the shop and worked his way into the field as an Ironworker. through out the years Jameson developed the skills necessary to become a Certified Weld Inspector and now serves as Bowman Steels QA/QC.
Dr. Frank has over 20 years of experience in a variety of human resource roles in different industries. He has significant experience in HR planning, recruitment, retention, compensation, employee relations, safety, budget management and compliance.
Additionally, Dr. Frank has significant employee training experience in a number of human resources and compliance areas. Dr. Frank, through his research has developed a leader development seminar for new managers and supervisors. US Marine Corps Veteran.
